Set the ddcoil

How to set the ddcoil?
I have built a ddcoil for the tesoro eldorado.
To set I overlap it the two coils tx and rx so that to have the min signal, but if then I put in parallel a capacitor, the amplitude increases, etc.....
Does someone know how to set it so that to have the max sensibility?

You probably want to resonate the receive coil to the exact transmit frequency before you set the overlap, to maximize the signal level during the process.

Also I think that it needs to do so, but I have a doubt.
with my eldorado if I put a capacitor from 10nF in parallel to the search head original tesoro, has the max signal, but the performances are the same!
The stadium of entry of the eldorado perhaps needs a certain value of the wave well precise rx....
I will make other tests.
