Tech Note - Nickel spray on shielding & coils

Note: I found that the nickel spray on shielding is toooo conductive for VLF coils for my Explorer.

I may have been too quick to dismiss the nickel spray-on shielding, it was not the shielding that was causing the low falsing but the fact that I only shielded the shell and not the bottom of the coil. I just hosed a coil down with this spray, 100% coverage and now its quiet as a mouse. The RX square wave also looks 100% better on the scope too, nice sharp square corners, the spikes are gone.
