Carl,


Do you have any data on the sensitivity of the Fluxgate Mag you designed?


Looks very easy to build.


I was wondering if it could be used as a towed mag to find large iron objects like large anchors?


One has to make it waterproof but that would not be the problem.


Data uplink will be using same transmit module as for the sidescan sonar.

Not yet, I am building up a new one using a PC board from Erich Kern. I will do some measurement on this.

Sure, I think a couple of others are looking into this. I plan on eventually building a towfish version but I can't say when.

Expect that when I move sensors far apart sensitivity will improve ?


As towed array, sensors say 2-3 meters apart will not be a big problem.... I think..

Up to a point, I believe.

That's about what I was thinking as well.
