Hi All
Does anyone out there know the waveform generated by the Explorer. Its literature states that it transmits multiple frequencies. Does it does this as different waveforms or a composite of these ? Any ideas ?
Many thanks
Steve
My understanding from both Minelab sales reps and White's sales reps is than the BBS and FBS detectors uses a composite signal. White's even mentioned a square wave, but you can't get 27 harmonics in a 3-100kHz band. My guess is that they have a multitone generator on the TX side, and a sampled data system followed by a DSP-based FFT on the RX.

I presume Explorer has similar timing to the Sovereign (I indcluded the picture in this message- hope you see it). If anyboody has access to the Explorer I would gladly see the waveform.
