I got a card in the mail today, almost threw it away 'cause I thought it was advertising el cheapo PC's. But it said "PCBs", not "PCs"...

Anyway, the web site is http://www.barebonespcb.com. They have really good rates on small quantity prototypes, best prices I've seen yet. 50-cents per sq inch, plus a $25 setup fee, no min quantity. That's 2-sided w/plated-thru holes. So my recent 5 SMD boards would have been $37 instead of $75. Drawback: no solder mask, no silk-screening.

How's your prototype surface mount board design going for the Hammerhead PI. Are they ready for sale yet?

Thanks,

First proto worked fine, except for a missing trace. I have 4 of the original boards left, I will sell 3 of them for the same deal as before, $10 each shipped.

I will also correct the error and get some more boards made. They will probably run $10 as well, but it may be a while before I get them in. So anyone who wants one of the proto boards now, let me know. A couple of people already expressed interest in the SMD PCB, so they get first dibs.

I will also make getting another batch of the thru-hole boards a priority. I need to make a few changes, and just haven't gotten to it.
