I have located two articles on prospecting with magnetometers in old
issues of the CALIFORNIA MINING JOURNAL. They would probably be
pretty elementary for most of you but in case anyone is interested
the citations are as follows:
THE TOOLS OF A PROSPECTOR - The Magnetometer; by Andy Bagley. In CMJ
October, 1983, starting on page 31.
USING A PROTON MAGNETOMETER; by Edgar B. Heylmun, Ph.D. In CMJ
March, 1992, starting on page 6.
These are not all that easy to get a hold of but will be cheap if
you can find them. Say two or three dollars a copy. However, if
anyone is really interested I will be glad to send photocopies of
either or both articles. A SASE would be appreciated so I don't
have to worry about making mistakes addressing the envelope but
don't send any money as no big deal.
I would appreciate if anyone would cite any articles they are aware
of on the forum, particularly if they concern prospecting with
magnetometers. I also (OT) happen to be looking for a copy of
GEOPHYSICAL PROSPECTING FOR THE LAYMAN by Gerhard Fisher. There are
two editions; the 1946 and the 1949. I would prefer the latter but
would be happy to have either one. I have a photocopy of the 1949
but it is not real clear and will NOT prolduce additional legible
copies.
