Go Up Go Down

My Girlfriends Parents live just south of North Bay Ontario..site of a WW2 to Norad base...turns out from WW2 until the 60s 19 Aircraft crashed in the area...in most cases the pilots got out.  After doing some research I found out that the areas are heavily wooded..so the Canadian Miilitary did not remove the wrecks after they investigated the crashes.
I was put in contact with one fellow who owns the property where a CF-100 went in..he has invitied me to see the site and "help myself" to parts..it's a half hour walk from the closest dirt road..and even the engines are stilll there..he sent a few photos of the site, which I lost when my other computer crashed last month...there are pieces larger than him still there.
He is helping me locate a P 51 Mustang that went down in the area also...looking forward to the summer to checkk these sppots out.

Dean

I hope to find the P-51 because she would have had a Merlin engine..well it might have had!!  and I want a valve cover of one of those..I have a piston out of a Lancaster...but those valve covers are stamp RR.
