Hi, let me try again. We are taking a trip to Alaska (Fairbanks) and stopping between Whitehorse and Dawson City, Canada to detect some Gold mine tailings. Would some of you that have done this type of detecting, let me know where and how to find the best places in tailings for nuggets.

bullseye, I moved your post here to the Alaska board since a) homefire has already handled the propspecting talk portion which is the best general location for it and b) putting it here may bring out some Alaska/western Canada specific locations to hunt for mine and dredge tailings as opposed to which part of the tailing to look (the base being the bottom of the pile  Smiley )
