You can take what Seldom says to the bank....
There is a lot of unscrupulous people who for some unknown reason try to fool their friends.
I belong to several forums and have seen other "carved" faces and or effigies.
I have yet to actually view one that was a true artifact.
You better check to see just who is pullling on your leg......

 Hello i dont know if is relevant but i found something similar about half the size of a BIC lighter . It was looking magnificent by the time i brought it in to light with his patina on but after cleaning it it was just ceramic or bronze i can't say for sure. I did not pay much attention to it.
I can upload a photo if you want me too.
