I found this antique stirrup in my yard. It was buried about 7 to 8 inches deep. I did some research on the web and it turns out to be a stirrup made in England back in the late 1800s and early 1900s. My house was built just a few yards from my Great Granfather's house so I guess it must have been for his horse. His house was built in the late 1800s but I do not know if there was a house here before his. I live in Puerto Rico so it must have been brought here by the Spaniards.

That's a cool find, and you are right I have seen some of them in old English Pubs, you should find a lot of bits like that there and the best bit is you have it all to search in your own time,
