Hate to disappoint you, but based on the hilt, that is NOT a Japanese sword.   The hilt is a European style popular in the late 1700's to the early 1800's, although we would need several more pictures including pictures of the full sword and information about its length and width to give you much more information.....can't even begin to hazard a guess without more information including more pictures.  Same thing goes for the jar.

Posted on: February 08, 2015, 12:04:40 amcan you include a clear close up of the bird on the pommel?  And close up pictures of any markings on the sword (probably on the blade near the hilt).

Yes, but we can't disclose the number of it. We also found a kettle with it. Here is the picture of the kettle.

These appear to be nice finds, though I have yet to see anything that I would attribute to the Japanese.  Both the sword and the tea kettle appear to be of "Western" origin.  We're very happy to view your finds, but there is no way that any of us can possibly give you an answer to your original request "I need to know how much would it cost if sell it by piece and by volume." based on two photos both of which are missing key bits of information (such as maker's marks) that would allow us to evaluate even those two properties.  You're basically asking us to determine the value of the contents of a warehouse without knowing the size of the warehouse let alone the contents of the warehouse and their actual condition.   That simply is NOT possible.

It's okay. All the information you have shared is very important to us and that we may know if the things we found are authentic and from where it possible came from. We will post another picture of the sword so that you could help us on some information we need.
