Evidence abounds throughout MesoAmerica for pre-Columbian visits.  Note this adorno it certainly does not look like a Mayan/Native.

I agree just look at the Olmec which predates the Aztec and Mayan civilizations, lots of their artifacts have African features. Its hard to explain that with out outside influence in a culture that flourished between 1200-400 BC

LOL!

That's what I was wondering.  How can you discover or find something that's not lost?

Go Up Go Down

I remember reading about a European man's remains being discovered in Washington State about 15 years ago. It was found in an Indian burial ground and was estimated to be more than 10,000 years old. The Indians demanded the remains and DNA testing and dating was never completed. I have wondered about that ever since. It would make native title claims obsolete if it were true.

....can't be having that now, can we.  It must be proved that "caucasians" were the absolute last group to set foot here and that the Americas were a paradise where everyone and everything lived in harmony before Columbus landed.   Me, I'm interested in who was here before me or else I wouldn't be in this hobby, but I'm more interested in what we're doing with the place now and why.   (I can't help it if my ancestors were thieves, rapists, and rogues, and I can't legitimately take any credit if they were enlightened saints and heroes either).    And I certainly can't justify judging any of them by any standards other than the ones of their age.

Well that's like the guy that wrote America Eden I think that was the name of the book claim that homo sapiens involved in southern Calf. and not Africa like  Leaky and other anthropologist have shown over the years. They had some bone frags that they claimed carbon 14 dated  100 thousand years. But without proof of where the frags came from and letting an outside lab test them their theory dead on the vine.

For decades it has been the consensus that the Clovis people, also known as ‘Paleo-Indians’, were first to inhabit North America about 11,500 years ago, but now many amateur archaeologists, as well as several professionals, are beginning to believe America could have been inhabited much sooner, or about 35,000-50,000 years ago.

That is known as "Kennewick Man" because it was washed out along the Columbia River near the city of Kennewick.  It was declared to be caucasian, but further studies have been denied because of various lawsuits.  Look it up on your favorite search engine.
