Spit the Post for you.

Did a Search for Greger and nothing came up.

Can you say any more about this one?

I would definitely have it checked out, that could be worth some money! Make sure they are reputable and get multiple opinions. Have to admit a little jealous!  :)

I'm thinking the J Greger is a Name not the Maker.

There should be other marking to see. ???

My wife picked it up for me from an antique dealer in Germany about 5 years ago....I think it is a Jaeger rifle, and I believe Greger is the name. The nipple was sealed with a brazing rod to render it non-functioning. If I remember, she paid 50 Euro for it. As for having it repaired and appraised, does anyone know a reputable place in the vicinity of Ft Lewis, WA?

Niobium:
Jaeger = hunter in German, shure it's a hunting rifle.

Niobium

lugknut32:
Niobium, I've known that for a couple of decades LOL, but thanks for the input. The barrel is not rifled, and as far as I can tell it is still in pretty good shape. Still not baby-bottom smooth, but close. I was hoping someone here could lend a hand figuring out the manufacturer. The barrel has a few more markings on it, so I will take some more pics later today. I may have to chalk them so they show up better.
