Of course it's genuine. You can hold it in your hands. But when you find such an object, it has to remain in place where you found it or it is useless. How do you know which way the arrow is pointing unless you leave it alone. Worse yet, you really have no idea if such a small rock has been moved before you found it. Genuine or not, it means nothing at all without a reference. It's a nice thing to keep on your shelf as a reminder of what not to do with a possible treasure sign.
