Not too much I am afraid, I am usually in the W.A.goldfields this time of the year but had a hip replacement in February so had to give it a miss. I think I am falling to pieces ... now a knee replacement in August, after that it will be all systems go. I have just returned from over your way, four days at Echuca, a week at Bright and a wet week at Kyneton where I had intended to swing the coil at a spot I like near Castlemaine. There is always next time.
H.H. & regards, Brian

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

Go Up Go Down

went out around Tarnagulla a few weeks ago a few bits were found by the guys with good detectors and a little bit found panning in the creek one of the older ladies along for the trip fell over in the creek and required an ambulance to take her to the bendigo hospital to get a rather nasty gash in her head but otherwise a good weekend was had by all. planning on going out again in the next couple weeks for a day trip or 2 locally probably in the tanjil to aberfeldy/ woods point areas.

Hi downunder Trav, I have been to Tarnagulla and liked it there. pleased some people got a few pices og gold there. When I was there some bloke worked down near the rail line on the noth side of town and he got more then 75 ounces there. I never went  there so wouldn't know if there are any scraps left. The first bit went over 5 ounces so it was nice gold. There was no water around when I was there so I couldn't pan. Hope the lady has recovered from her fall.  I will be hitting the road in November and then just taking my time. I am going to some parts of NSW on my way to Vic. I might be able to meet up with you and have a chat while I am down there. I can save you all a lot of time and money Clearmont up here is not much worth going to. The goverment wont open any new places the farmers arn't to easy to get along with. Every now and then someone might find a bit but not much. You can't beleave all you read a lot of things in Mags and goverment adds are just to extract the dollar from people. I do get about a lot of places. Shot Roos through a lot of country in north west Queensland. Ken
