Hi I live in Queensland and I have been in the Vic Gold Fields it is a lot better there. Get your miners right and no one bothers you. There are a lot of very good places and you will get gold . You have to go slow and cover the area you are working. I have seen some very good gold there. Here in Queensland there is gold but it is a battle to get on good ground. I have a very good time there and am hoping to go to WA soon. I shot Roos in queensland and I got to know a lot of station owners in the north. It takes along time to get to know these cattle station owners but if you can you will get into some good ground. Ken

Well Aussie,

Unless I do know where on the map is your big X, I cannot help you any further.

But really, there are lots and lots of areas in the Golden Triangle, where one can prospect to one's heart content and still find good stuff.

I stress again, you MUST HAVE a "Miners Right" in your possession, either in your car or better still, on your person, if challenged by some authority. Not having a "Miners Right" means that you more then likely forfeit your car, all your gear and any finds that you have got in your possession.

Hope that helps, see you up them thar hills.
Frank

Hi Frank
Have'nt heard from you for a while , looks like we're getting a little aussie party together theres you, me, Stalley and there is an other guy from Western Australia on this forum so far , looking good to form a group to hit the goldfields in the future .  One of my neighbours has a brother that has a vacant house at Wedderburn , could be interesting to get an invite down there .

Go Up Go Down

Hi downunder Trav  and all, Hows things. I am hoping to go to Vic soon Around the end of the month all going well. I have a few things to sort out yet. I have been down there before and it is good no worries like up here. WA is also a good area so  hope to get there in the next year. I had a SD2000 when I was there last but I think I went backwards I bought an
X-Terra. Now I think I will bit the bullet and buy a GPX 4500 before I come down there. The thing is you have to walk over the gold to find it. I hope to catch up with some of you blokes and have a chat some time. Ken
