Go Up Go Down

Came back Thurs. from O.C., Md. Being down there with 12 family members only
gave me the chance for about 1 hr. detecting. Worked the beach around 24th st., got signals in the wet sand but wouldn't target(signals in 1 direction but nothing going back). Went up to the dry sand, plenty of noise, a AA battery-4", pop can at 6", some hair bretts, all junk. So I cleaned up the beach for an hour, but took home nuthin but a tan. Can't expect much in an hour, had fun & still learnin.

Hello!

12 family members!? This sure will keep you busy Smiley

Did you use your Garrett ACE on the beach? The wet sand or better say the hevay mineralization due to the salt will make many machines go noisy. In this case it is important to play around with the ground adjustment a bit and to maybe trigger down the sensitivity of the machine.

Good to hear you had a good time.

I hope you will be making some good finds next time.

Best wishes,

Christian

Hey Mudpike,
It's a shame you didn't get somethin' nice, but there's always a next time.
I'm pleased you enjoyed it just the same.
If it's any consolation even the experienced guys have their good days and their not so good days, it's just a matter of time, practice, and persistence.
You'l get the goodies eventually. HH.
