Hi Raoul ! Great finds ! Must be very exciting getting some yellow metal out of the water ! Could you please post photos of yours scoop - if you dont mind  - I am looking for some good design to make myself one . Good luck !

At the moment, Raoul only has 21 posts. In one of them, he has a picture of his scoop. Go to his profile and look at his posts.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

Silky the bucket is made from a sheet of Aluminum we folded it into the shape i wanted then welded it together and drilled out all those holes, like drilling through butter, the handle is Stainless steel..

Hi Raoul ! That is interesting idea ! Isnt the aluminium a bit soft during digging ? The big advantage is the weight ! I know somebody who can weld aluminium - I will start preparing materials for the project ! Will post the photos when it is done  - great ! Thank you !

Great job, seems you have to hang of it now. I wish all my hunts could produce at least a ring.

Thanks for posting.
