One of my 2007 shallow water hunting finds, mint condition, it reminds me that it is always time to go water hunting in South Florida.

Thanks for the kind words, I only use two machines the Excal in the water and the Sovereign GT on the beach and land hunting. I had a pulse for a couple of years and did well with it but it had to go. With increased competition on the beaches and in the water for finds I just rely on my old faithful Minelabs, concentrating on finding the fresh drops and finds within reach and not digging a ton of junk.

Thank for your answer.Yes same here multi frequences and rejection of ferrous is the way to go.Tired of digging 2 feet for a hair pin Grin.My PI is now in Europe as a spare when I go.I saw your blog and your finds are impressive.
Just came back from 4 days in detecting, key Biscayne,Lauderdale by the sea and Pompano Beach. For the first time with many trips to Florida was not successfull.I came to the conclusion that now you have to be a local and know the time to go.like the famous words of Mel Fisher "Today is the day" Pierre

If that watch showed 8:40 it might have the one I dropped there recently.... Grin    Good point on the PIs. I use the Surfmaster in CT and FL and most days it is nothing but hair pins at 6 to 10". After the July 4th holiday it's zillions of fireworks wires...
Nice find!!

Hello mudflap,
Can not respond for Gary but if is water proof can stay in a water for quite a while depending on a batterie life.I did put on a forum a watch Tag Heuer that is automatic and do not have batteries. The rewinding is  by the movements of your wrist and the jeweller told me it only last 48 hours. So when I found it I knew by the date on it that it was lost only 2 days before.
I certainly felt sorry for the one who lost it and looked for 2 weeks  on my local newspaper at  lost and find section but nothing. For anything I found this is my rule to be honest.
