this is 950 search coil/ is a good coil to hunt out a beach? i have an mxt white. this coil is only water proof i think. will it be ok to hunt on the beach with it? what other coil would be good to really hunt for coins and relic/ and such? Undecided

The coil that comes with your MXT is sufficient for beach hunting. The coil itself is fully waterproof but you have to take care that you don't get any wet sand or hummidity in your detector housing where the electronics are. This can e.g. be avoided by hipmounting it.

Generally speking you should use smaller coils in areas that are very treasure and bigger ones to cover more space or sometimes they will also get a bit deeper depending on the coil.

One coil that I can personally recommend is the so called Big Foot by Jimmy Sierra. It is good to cover more ground while it will loose some depth.

i have the 950 on my whites prism V, did ok at the beaCH, had to lower sensativity  though..lol...salt was driving me crazy..lol..gregg
