Hello,

I'm new to beach hunting and was going to make my first attemp near Sebastian inlet in Florida. I was wondering if anyone might have any sugestions for a successful hunt. Has anyone had much luck near this area? I'm heading over from central Florida this weekend and I'm going to spend two days hunting.

Thank you for you help,

Back in the 80s  Just North of the inlet was productive .

Behind Chucks Steak house was good but I dont know if its accessible.

As per Florida State Law, If you stay within the tidal wet marks on the beaches you are not

Trespassing!

Hello lok-art . And  Welcome to Thunting.com !!! The suggestion I have for Florida Beaches is use the Best Metal Detector that you can find , something like a Minelab Excalibur 1000 or Excalibur II would be perfect , because it sounds like you are going to an area that has been hunted "hundreds of times" over !!! I am sure Treasures are still there but you will need a great water / salt water machine . Or you can use a lower priced detector to find the most recent losses like rings / coins and jewelry . Either way keep us posted on your new finds and Thank-You for Joining the Great Thunting.com !!!!.........Regards........Eugene

OOOOOPS!   I just seen your a new comer!

Welcome from southern New Mexico!

What machine do you have?

Eugene, Hunted it has been but it keeps producing Reales and stuff.

Every storm brings up more.

Look for funky blackened flat things.!! Wise

Hello Homefire .  You are 100% correct !! I forgot about what the big storms do to the shoreline . I was just suggesting that he use a Good quality Metal Detector and that will Guarantee some Fantastic Finds...........Regards........Eugene

Sorry...

I have a Bounty Hunter Quick Draw II.

I understand it's not the best for wet sand but that I should do OK in the dry sand.

I mostly have used in parks and recreational areas and now want to dive the beach a run.

Thanks for the recommendation on the Minelab Excalibur 1000. I actually was looking at it as my new upgrade.
