Go Up Go Down

On monday my mate Martin phoned and said that he was coming down to Brighton for a search on the beach, i said i would meet him and show him the ropes on the 705, he back out and decided to go to Littlehampton instead so i went on the beach and searched the wet and some dry beach, i did not find a lot . I was more of a probing action really to see what the crowds leave during the day. I now think its more than certain that the money i find is lost by people on the beach during the night.
I found a silver ring witrh stones 4 missing. A silver looking thing ? and £9.74p .
I might use the TDI if i have the energy but lugging the large stainless steel scoop about might put me off a bit, instead may just rest for a day or two.

A silver looking thing ?

Rich, that looks like a spacer for bead working with larger beads. They are used as a separator for the big plastic or wooden beads.
Here's an example of a small one.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.
