Today was my first time on the beach this month and i thought that all the warm weather would have got people on the beach losing all their hard not earned benefit cash
oh and the odd working person's too !
But it was not to be , saw lots of people on the beach over the last few days as i drove my bus past the beach wishing i was their every morning but not a lot of cash. ( dont expect jewellery till later in the year , when the weather takes the shingle off a bit and exposes the hard pack, at the moment the tidal area is between 2 and 12 feet deep in shingle sloping towards the low tide mark)
I started between the piers but after an hour and only finding about £3 i gave up and went to the other side of the Palace pier (Brighton) and worked towards the yacht marina and nudist beach.
Working along the tops near the promenade and along the Volks railway i found quite a few coins that had been there for quite a long time, they in the picture are the ones that are dirty . It was hard going and the targets were spread thinly , but in the end i had £27.12p . I will have to do much better than that every time i go if i am to meat my target of £350 for this month.
I wont be there again till late next week , tomorrow i am going to a sandy beach with my Whites TDI for a ring hunt, not really expecting much but who knows until i get there.
