Go Up Go Down

I went to Brighton beach this morning instead of going to a detecting dig and going by what i have been told that was found i am glad i did.
Got to the beach at 5.30am and started as soon as i got there, there was no other detectorists there so i had it to my self for about an hour before someone else got there.
I only searched the tops but some of the coins i found were dirty due the bonfires on the beach and because i found them at depth.
The X.Terra works quite well on the shingle beach though its a little unstable towards the water but can cope to a certain extent.
Today i had a copper ring and ?27.56p .

This is what i have had so far this year, in the next month or two i should triple this or better but that depends on the weather i suppose.

I will be out again on friday with the E.Trac this time.

I also got my new large coil for the Deus today but that will not be for beach detecting.

Very nice amount of coins. Great hunt.

I wish we had a few larger denomination coins here in the USA it would make hunting a little more fun.

Thanks for posting.

I agree completely texcam, $1 coins need to become more popular, and we need larger denominations. Great stack of coins for one hunt there Rich.

Wow, I wish our U.S. coins were as hefty as the English coins are.

Really great finds so far this year!
Wish I knew what detector to step up to in order to have good luck as you have...

Cheers from the USA,  Great
Jim

Jim,
For the water the Sea Hunter should be fine but for the beaches (dry) or paddling in the water then the E.Trac .

and all I have now is the Fisher 1266X, which is a good older but nice machine.

I look around & read the various messages, and literally pull my hair out trying to narrow down just what would be a good beach and surf detector today, as well as another for the dry sand and parks as a 2nd machine?  lol.. Angry

I appreciate your reply, and Congrats on your finds so far this new year, and may that pile of coinage grow to a huge valuable lot.

Cheers,
Jim
