My Suggestion is take a few scoops from the Hole . I'm still nursing a Shoulder injury from a year ago. Finally went to have the Shoulder X-Rayed Yesterday( 12-21-2010 ) and scheduled for another Doctors visit next week, then maybe an MRI. I use a Minelab Excalibur and a (Dredge also)

MarkTwa8n ! Very nice stories ! Japan is still very exotic country for most of us ! How are you guys doing now , after all this disasters hitting the country ? It is a BIG tragedy , with so many people dead and so much damage to the country !
From the other side , I think , Edjcox  got the point , rich people dont like to mix with "rest of us "  and normally they dont leave big diamonds on the public beaches !! Good luck for You guys there !

I would say to keep an eye out for a Minelab Excaliber. It will work in the water and on the beach just fine, and goes deep also. It will beat your Garrett in depth. You will get used to the different tones and pretty much know before you dig, what to expect. Nothing can efficently separate the pull tabs from the gold rings, not yet anyway.

Hi Silki,
France has very strict laws: it is forbidden to MD on archeaological site.
As you say, we have a very long and rich history.
So we could consider that any part of the land may be a site of interest.... Mad
Of course you need the land owner's autorisation : people or administration.

There is a very complete subjet on the following link:

Maybe should we consider pull tabs and bottle caps as very important artefacts to understand our way of life...

Regards,
Oli

Hi Silky,
I'm not a law specialist and i haven't been MDind on beaches yet, but i know that some places are stricly forbidden: D-day beaches, in Normandie; and three departments: (La Somme d?p. 80 et l?Oise d?p. 60, la Meuse, d?p. 55) due to heavy fights during the last two world wars...

RiderRound About  Violent Round About Rider

Some cities around Mantes-la-Jolie are MD forbidden.

And for beaches, mayors can decide to allow or not MD.Sometimes it is forbidden during the day and allowed (i mean tolerated) after 19:00.

Hope i was helpfull,

Oli
