You do not say what type of detector your looking for.   VLF or PI?

You may opt for a used unit due to the fact that Good Aquatic machines are a bit more then your looking to spend.

Have a look here.

As was stated earlier, KellyCo has a few models that fit your needs. Get a PI (Pulse Induction) machine and you can guarantee it will work in both fresh and salt water equally well.

Hi - ive spent a lot of time on beaches in the uk -i use a garrett ace 250 - great on the beach just turn the discrimination down and notch out the ring pulls - great inland too - would also recommend a pro pointer for quick retrieval or a scoop - although these arent so great on the wet sand though

Dont really know, I was looking at adding it on for 200 if I bought my omega from them. I was wondering if they were just not very popular and that was why they were on clearance. The older ones had a good reputation.
