Today i took the ET for a spin on the beach and i decided in advance to search the lower beach as its been stirred up a bit.
I started at 4.45am and almost as soon as i started i started finding coinage, the tide was coming in so i had to get moving quite quickly.
By the time finished the first session i had around £27 and 2 silver chains, when i finished i felt that it was in need of another search so i had a sleep on the beach and waited for the tide to go out a bit. As it went out i searched the waters edge and still found more coins and a ring that may be silver , it has a number 58 and other markings on it.
I finished at 1.45pm and at the end i had 3 Euro and 10 cents, 2 pier ride tokens,3 other foreign coins, the silver ? ring ,a junk ring and junk elephant with stones, and junk ear ring, the 2 silver chains and a total of £49.96p making my total for the year £1241.28p ,more than last years total of £1220 .
My next day out is sunday morning after the Gay day parade on saturday, if the weather stays good the beach will look like a land fill site, should be good for a lot of finds ? Maybe !
