well, i went to galveston beach today.i managed to find .48 cents or so and about 45 bottle caps and 11 small pieces of metallic something or other,lol.i enjoyed having all the time i needed to hunt.the fog se in about 11:00 am cleared up about 2:pm and rolled back in about4:30. visibility was about 300 ft.gonna clean my coins and post pictures soon as i can. Detecting

Yeah between the bars in the troughs are good places to hunt. On the island the best stuff seems to be between the second and third bar and third and forth bars. Thats why most water hunters hunt in winter when the north wind blows the tides way out. My best producing spot is about 4 to 5 ft deep in summer but only 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 ft during a good norther.

Seldom hit it right on the head.  Also, watch the way the shells wash up on the beach and hunt those line.
