They will work.   Some better then others.

Look at your Manual and see what it says about the ear phone jack Impedance.

I'm slowly but surely moving from the "as long as I can hear the beeps and what's going on around me" category into the "yeah, it makes a difference and you pretty much get what you pay for" category.....which isn't to say I'm ready to run out and buy a set of really expensive headphones just yet.   BUT I am paying closer attention to what I buy and how it matches up with the detector.
