thanks ray, no discrim on the whites iv'e seen some of the deep holes dug only to find a rusting crown cap or similar piece of junk i dont mind digging some rubbish but their is a limit to it , had a day on brighton beach digging hundreds of bits of shredded drinks cans after a storm that was no fun either , but still not detered  i suppose that's what sorts the true detectorist out

After a bit you should notice on the size of the signal if it?s a drink can, but pull tabs could always be a small thin ring so dig those signals. PI is the best IN the salt water and no discrim on any other detector if you can get away with it. It?s hard work, but the rewards are worth it when you hit the good spots  Great

I have the E.Trac and i have a good beach programme for English beaches ,wont be good for the U.S. beaches with coins made of iron though will get the older stuff and rings.
The programme is on the MLO site (Platinum Members) if anyone wants it now .Or when i get the chance i will put it on here.
It means i will have to have a couple of hours to spare to put it on here though.
I use the ET in the autumn and winter months on the Brighton beach when the beach shingle is taken off by the storms, the X.Terra is not as good for the wet stuff.
Last year i raked out with the ET over Ģ1000 using the programme i have , i do discriminate iron and some other stuff too but my settings make sure i rarely miss much, found gold and silver rings with it too and deep.
Cant wait till the autumn to get ET fired up again  Smiley
