I live in San Antonio Texas and we have had a long dry spell in this part of the state.  As a result most of the lakes are well below their normal levels.  If you live in the area this is a great time to work those exposed water lines.  I've turned up numerous coins, fishing weights and lures.  Nothing really big yet but there's lots of shore lines left.  Keep swinging.

Budlang, the same is happening here in Minnesota. Went to try my hand at a lake, the water was a good 40 feet away from the usual shoreline. There is so much sand, I felt like I was looking for a penny in the desert! I managed a couple quarters, an old nickel, pulltabs and 2 lead sinkers. But this is all new to me, beach hunting is something I'm learning.

It's that way down here in Florida with one catch.  You have to hunt the lake shores with a pistol in one hand because of the gators.  Just makes it more exciting I guess. Shawn

This works well for salt water creeks and rivers. As the tide goes out you have several hours to hunt for lures and treasures.

Lake Corpus Christi is real low right now and I have been thinking about hunting the swimming areas.
No gators around here ... yet!

Just don't bend down with your back to the water.  If you DO find out there are gators there WE may never know!!!!

Hey, let me know how you did on Lake Corpus Christi.  It's not all that far from San Antonio.  It is a bit hot for hunting right now but there is always a cool day somewhere ahead.  I have been in Colorado for two weeks in the mountains and being back in SA is like returning to an oven.
