 Detecting
I am planning a vacation to the Dominican Republic in June of 2011 to the area Punta Cana.  My question to all is Metal Detecting permitted in the DR on the beaches? Or where can I go to find out the regulations on treasure hunting in the DR.
Thank you and God Bless.

I was living in Punta Cana for 8 years and working in the hotels as a scuba instructor. Enjoy your stay and happy hunting. No problem detecting the beaches in front of the resorts.
If you join a full day excursion from your hotel to Catalina Island or Saona Island I would strongly recommend to take the detector there too.

Thanks Wrecker for your help. What can I expect to find if I take the detector to Saona Island.

So how was your metal detecting last week? Have you done it or looking forward for a next schedule. If ever you haven't done it yet, don't forget to bring along the entire pack of your detector, coz pretty sure you'll gonna need it. It's gonna be fun in there.
