Whit this in mind there is another point I need to stress.  You don't dive alone unless you have been trained for it!

I know that most of us do MD'ing alone, but this is a little bit more dangerous.

If you are going to do it, then you must have backup air supply!

For myself I do go alone but I do have the extra training, so I suit up with two sets of regs, one for my tanks alu80 and a pony bottle alu20 as well as the hooka system, and Oxygen and a buddy on the boat!

Hello Guys,
hey I need to verify what this unit is, there's a auction with some diving stuff being sold tomorrow, so if this is a Hookah rig either gas which I don't see the motor, or electric powered which it could be, I'm not sure?

Whats this look like to you, looks like some sort of commercial hookah rig isn't it, or possibly a tank refill system?

{alt}

Thanks & much appreciate your well educated advice, and anyone else that reads this!  Great
Jim

It's neither, Jim. It's a compressed air tank hookah.

But I know that its not a Hookah, after checking with the seller today.

It's actually a Air Compressor, to fill air tanks or what have you he says & it doesn't work anyways.
So I'm going to pass on this thing...but I am going to bid on a couple nice vintage Aqualung SC1 seapacks and some vintage regulators.

Thanks for the reply and advice,
Jim

Well, he may say that but it can be used for either. Good that you passed on it because the tank has to be purged, hydro-statically tested and then filled only with oil free air. Compressed air hookahs are a pain in the neck. I always use gasoline powered with a long neck intake goose neck with an intake filter. But then, I build my own.

Actually, according to the seller, it is a hookah. If he made such a serious error as misidentifying something he is selling, we can thank you for telling us. Without speaking with the builder, all I can tell for certain is that it looks home made or at least heavily modified by someone.

Well your seller fella is not a diver.. no Hookah has a yoke whip used to attach to a non DIN tank...and if you look closely at the set-up you will see such a whip.. which would do you no good for any type of hooka setup.

I know my hookas
