I read in an article that if you put a small magnet at the bottom of the scoop, you'll be able to keep more small metal items that would otherwise escape!

             I wish they would make some device that would make thoes blasted ring-pulls disappear they send out such a good signal you cant ignore them . dug a couple today in wet sand down 8 / 10 inches the signal was so loud and clear thought I had a big one . Crazy

also read that if you epoxy a small hairbrush in the bottom of your scoop chains and such get caught in it instead falling threw the holes,i'll be trying both in a few weeks Great

I use 1/4 inch plastic square mesh in the very back of my scoop, I get ton's of ear rings this way. the trick is to pick up the scoop and hold it flat and let the water wash away the sand you will be able to keep all the small stuf that used to go out the biger holes this way magicsmc
