This is more for water scoops. Keeps small items from being washed away. Loose dry sand may clog your scoop with a mag anywhere in it. Zip tie a small mag in it and try it. If you do not like it simply cut it off. If you do like it then get some epoxy and cement it perminently. Great

Magnets on the scoops makes since to pick out the steel trash ---------That why or prospecting picks had a magnet on them to attract the steel & rusted metal targets (that should apease the tree huggers, cleaning up the envirement one beep at a time ).
