Go Up Go Down

Well I got out this morning for a hour dive with my Tesoro tigershark at a local swimming hole under a bridge.  I set up a search area and marked it off with lines and stakes and systematicly worked the area.  Well I didn't find any treasure per say but did get a pair of $300.00 Tommy Hilfiger Glasses, a set of truck keys with the panic button (both of those I will try to find the owners), some iron pins from the old railroad bridge that has long disappeared one of them was in 16 inches of sand and gravel and the old Tiger Shark picked it right up.  and some other trash that I do remove and disguard whenever I dive.  It was a great dive and a beautiful morning to dive and have some fun.  I will try to get back there in the next day or 2 and work another area.

Hello Jim!

That's some unique finds! I wondered what might have been your most unique / weird find so far?

I remember a friend of mine working on a dried up river some years ago. He came up with lots of coins etc. but also a plastic bag that contained two pistols. He handed them over to the local police and it turned out that they had been used in a robbery. The robber obviously had wanted to get rid of them fast and thus just threw them into the river.

I assume there's lots of stuff which the previous owber had wanted to get rid of fast  to be found in the water ...

Best wishes,

Christian

I reckon my weirdest find so far was a $20.00 bill rolled up around a nail and chucked into the creek.  The metal detector sounded off and it was only about a inch under the surface.  The funniest thing was I was talking to a friend just before the dive saying I would love to find  a $20.00 gold piece...and LOL, it was a $20.00 piece...lol.  The coolest anchor I have found is a miniture of a US Naval ship anchor I found in a lake in 38 feet of water.  It looks like a miniture of the anchor on a aircraft carrier.  I'm still hopeing to find a cannon, thats my goal....Arrr

I'll bet that was a thrill to find a $300 pair of sunglasses.  Never has a pair that expensive.  had a pair that ran around $120, picked them up for about $50 on clearance.  Great pair of sunglasses.  Keep up the good work.
