Hello WW,

Yea I was thinking or reading the chatter from the users of the EXC2, and saw some asking when an upgraded model was going to come out. I guess the issues with the connectors and or the tuning knobs getting loose over time, so the talk was about a few of those issues on the excaliber2. Some said the excaliber1 didn't have those same problems and seemed like a more stable unit in the long run?...I have no idea really, just reading here and there.

Sure mate, I'll seek you out when I'm ready to step up to that great machine, trying to save some extra bucks, but I'll email and PM you when the time is right...Thanks & feel free to give me some advice and info and thoughts on the Minelab EXC2 when ever you have the time, as I sure would enjoy that.

Cheers,
Jim

Good morning Jim, i don't think the issue was loose knobs rather some of the plastic caps would come off if they where struck just right. i small tab of glue will solve that problem.I have also tried the minelab etrac and didn't like it. it was okay for the land but not for the beach.
have a good day.white water

Thanks WW,

appreciate the reply and clear-up on the knobs and the water proofing of the cable or connector ends.

Good luck & hope you make some solid 14K finds!  Great

Jim
