Go Up Go Down

Hello everybody,
The rain had stopped and it is time to see what it's going on.The first beach out west does not look very encouraging as everything is flat. After 30 minutes and 5 coins it is time to move out east.
Arriving there the situation look the same.Far away I see a detectoriste and a black thing that do not move on a surf.I am thinking of a seal that is washing up again in a surf.As I come closer I realise that this is a small deer absolutly
terrified.I recognise my friend Kenny who told me that the deer did run at high speed into the surf and got into the rollers. He managed to get back to the shore but do not want to move.A fisherman is alerting the park. After 10 minutes he seems to regain his bearings and litterally fly away over the dunes. As for this beach only 5 coins were also founds.
Anyway learned 2 lessons today.Take your camera and your cell phone in case you are to be late!

I've seen young deer run sideways when they are spooked.

When I was about 12 yrs old. I was in a small fishing boat on a large lake in northern Michigan at sunrise. I was offshore about  100 yards when a large whitetail buck ran and swam straight at my boat. I was shocked at how well he swam. He went around my boat within 10 yards or so, and swam all the way across that lake! I'm going to guess that his swim was a total of a mile or so. Something spooked him on shore, and he must have thought that the lake was his best escape. I'm guessing your little deer you found was in shock and too exhausted to move until he recovered.

Luckyp, that is a cool experience!  Too bad the little one was so shocked and disoriented, and too bad you didn't have your camera!  But that is a memory you will always have!

Avision4U, where you been man?  Been missing you and your posts for a while.  Welcome back!

Thanks, really glad to be back. My pc always had trouble with the server on this site. After awhile, the trouble got worse to the point where I couldnt view the site. Christian had the server host change a couple things and now problem solved! I sure did miss all of you, I got some catching up to do!   Rider
