 went to cedar key beach, very small...found mainly beer tabs, was suprised, but found the usual cvlad also..nothing spectactular..thanks for asking..gregg

We went last weekend like Gregg said.I wouldn't recommend metal detecting in Cedar key that is for sure at least we didn't find anything.We are going somewhere this weekend,but it still undecided.Hopefully,this weekend we will have better luck.Thanks for asking!

 Maria, I forget what machine you have. I have never been on the beach w/o finding at leats  a few dollars worh of coins. My Whites xlt has has many settings and programs and can be balanced to nutralize minerls in the soil so targets come in clearer. It took me a full year to get realy good with it. That means not digging mostly trash which is what I was doing at first. Maybe we could meet at a point between you and I and spend a day on the beach. At least the temps are more doable. In the summer I go at dawn and spend about 4 hours before the heat does me in.
