Let me just start by saying I have very little info on the subject. I have the codes and all that. I really am looking for some Litrature on the subject books, magazine articles or anything that might mention the legend. I also came across an article that mentions the papers might have been written by Edgar Allen Poe? But do you have any clue as to the process of this therory and what brought them to this final deduction. I know Poe wrote  strorys under various pseudonyms  but the article I read did'nt go into great detail as to why this therory was believed by so many. This is just the begining for me so thanks for your interest. If you can shed any light please do

Ake there is lots of info on the net but much of it is worthless. There are several good books out there. The Beale Treasure New history of the Mystery by Peter Viemeister explores the conection with Poe also Jean Lafitte and Thomas Jefferson. Another book by Viemeister Confederaye Treasure Coverup is a novel based on fact and a good read for anyone interested in Beale.
I have 15 or 20 books about TH on my desk Viemisters included that I am going to put on ebay soon I have 2 or 3 copys of soom books and it is time to get read of soom. I think that there never was a treasure just a hoax but I have spend years researching and reading about it and thats just my 2 cent worth.

Larry:
Hi, Seldom. Thanks for the note.  As a matter of fact, I'm not too far from you.  At the present time, I'm living in Katy.  My home is Florida, but I came to Texas in June of 2007 to help my son-in-law with his business.  But...by a miracle in February 2008, I discovered I had cancer in my esophagus.  Well, I wound up at MD Anderson Hospital in Houston.  I received radiation and chemotherapy plus an operation to remove the infected part of my  esophagus.  They stretched my stomach to replace the esophagus.  Everything was successful and I have just completed my 6-months testing.  The result NO CANCER.  I didn't mean to bore you with my medical history but I'm so pleased I have to tell everyone..because it was a miracle the way all of the events worked out for me. I look forward to chatting with you about the Beale Treasure story. Larry
