Things didn't work out quite as I had hoped...  I finally had a chance to get the detector out and try it on the mountain.  I went to turn it on and nothing...  I went to check the batteries that the detector had come with and as I opened up that compartment all there was were 4 corroded AA batteries and a lot of wet ruined crap....  Not very exciting!   I hope that kellyco will take good care of me tomorrow.  All that money for a a ruined machine?  Nice....

Bummer.....the good news is Kellyco has a good reputation of taking care of folks.

I never had anything that came with batteries already installed. Sounds strange to me, usually the batteries are not installed. I would definately question Kellyco about it. Good Luck....DW

I talked to kellyco this morning...  Other than a 2 week turn around time there was no issue.  I was very surprised that there were batteries already installed.   I'm thingking it wasn't the first time its been out of the box?

I guess this gives me time to work on my other projects..  building a highbanker, classifier and finding somewhere to go use them...

sorry to hear that, I can tell you Kellyco has always been great to me, and always hear the best things about them. Who needs a metal detector on a mountain anyway?  Grin Go have fun, and this way you can check out good sites for your first run at it!

"Bummer" to hear about the detector!  Cry  I've purchased several detectors from Kellyco and never had the batteries in them, in fact I've always had to assemble the detector before using it.  Anyway, it's great  Great that KellyCo took care of your concerns very quickly...  now you just gotta wait for shipping!   Good luck!   Detecting
