I'm sure someone will say "eBay". And they are right! Wink  Research the going prices and know what the detector is worth then look for mis-marked or poorly advertised eBay auctions. For example try using different spelling on your search words like Looop instead of loop etc. I bought a mint condition MXT 300 and a new Coinmaster in the same auction for $400, shipping included! The auction was headlined "Metal detectors", ended at 3 AM pacific time on a weekday, description only mentioned the model numbers and had no pictures. Don't get caught up in the bidding excitement. Knowing what it is worth to you and sticking to your price along with selective sleuthing can lead to good deals....

Better off finding a good dealer with low prices on new machines.  Call IEOFFICIALSTORE.COM

Every detector I have ever purchased, I've purchased off of e-bay.  With proper research of both the machine and the seller, it isn't a bad way to a bad way to go.  It won't work for everyone, but few methods of doing anything work for everyone.
