Thinking about Fisher F2, Garrett Ace 250, or a Bounty Hunter Discovery 3300.  Any suggestions?  Idea

Haven't met anyone yet who's unhappy with the Ace.
My son has an "Ace 150" ... and it's great!

I'm a total beginner and having fun with the Ace250! Certainly finds metal in the ground! I'm happy with my selection.

Yes, the ace is a great detector to start, but look for a pack with a larger coil. I read excellent reports/users experiences with the F2, too.

Discovery 3300 seems to be the basis of the fisher F4 (altough the fisher has updated features), and I would not consider this one.

I own two bounty hunters. They are great on coinshooting, but the general quality is not satisfactory to me (connectors, loose loudspeaker in the control box, easily  "pincheable"  battery wires ...

The Silver Sabre (tesoro), although not "digital", might be an excellent choice too.

I bought an Ace for the wife last year and she is doing quite well with it.  Great detector for the money and easy to learn.

Hello Mumo,

the Ace 250 has an average depth of maybe 5 - 10 cm on coins. On very large objects maybe 50 cm maximum. It's not a deep seeking detector.

Regeards,

Christian
