Does anyone know anything about the Bounty Hunter Discovery 2200 Metal Detector from Canadian Tire?

I purchased one a couple weeks ago (my first detector) and I've already found a couple coins. It seems to be a pretty good unit for the price. I like the readout. It has a discriminator, and a depth gauge, but I've read somewhere else that the depth gauge sometimes may be off a bit. For a first detector it's probably pretty good, but I'm into bigger and better gadgets and I'm certain I'll outgrow it once I get more serious about this hobby.

Paul Sub I feel the same way, I bought a Bounty Hunter Quick Draw II. Like you said the depth indicator does seem to be off but like I was advised earlier it may need to adjust the senitivity on it.

I think I am going to enjoy this and will get a lot more serious as I get better with the machine I have.
