If you live near a Harbor Tools store, they have three models there that will fit nearly every budget and you can git a 20% off coupon for any single item in the catalog they have at the front door. Their $59.99 detector becomes a $47.99 at the register. Not the best but adequate for a beginner.

Hi Julie. I just happen to have a spare detector. Not the best in the world but good for a beginner. It is a Bounty Hunter Discovery 1100 and I am sure that we could strike a deal.
