OK, I know that we can detect in parks without being bothered, but what about city golf courses? Are those fair game? The reason why I'm asking is that just 3-4 weeks ago we had a major wind storm in our  area (one place had 100MPH winds), and it knocked down lots of trees. One golf course reported to have lost over 100 trees. I'm guessing this could have some potential.

They sure do! Just ask the owners and I am sure they will grant you permission to search the areas around the crashed trees.
