In this image there is a dial that reads DISC/NOTCH. I was just wondering what the dial actually does and how to properly user it. Thanks for the help.

What model is it?

That one is made by bounty hunter I think.

I agree with Homefire. It is a good machine. I use the radio shack Bounty Hunter 1100 most of the time. Hasn't failed me yet.

The 4" coil is great in trashy areas. It will double your finds in that type area. I have one that I use when hunting "hunted out " area. I always find something others missed. Wise
