Go Up Go Down

My husband & I just recently started detecting. Next week we are going to be spending a few days in Galveston and would appreciate any advice on locations and/or techniques.  We have a Garrett Ace 250 and as we understand it's limitations as far as water hunting we plan on staying more up on the beach area.  We're willing to drive up or down the coast a little so any suggestions would be welcomed.  Thanks!!

Really just look at where people hang out. Sea wall,  Stewart beach, East beach, etc. Take your time and dig everything. Run Jewelry mode. I've had silver rings turn up as pull tabs on my ace 250. Put sensitivity down to 3. And have a good time.

Thanks a lot!  Doesn't look like the weather will be real agreeable for us but we're planning on having a great time!  We usually do hunt in the jewelry mode so I'm glad that will work for us there.  Thanks for the hint about turning sensitivity down to 3.  We'll let you know how it comes out.  Again, thanks!
