I was hoping you could give me some advice ? my E-Trac came with very large Koss UR-30 headphones. I already have a nice set of over the ear Sony headphones for my iPhone. I would need to buy a small plug to large plug adapter to plug them into the detector, will this work or are they not compatible. Do you use headphones when you go searching?

AS LONG AS YOUR EARPHONES FOR THE I-PHONE ARE JUST EAR AND NOT EAR/MIC THEY SHOULD WORK, ND IF THEY ARE STANDARD 1/8 PLUG THE A 1/8 TO 1/4 ADAPTER SHOULD WORK ALSO. I ALWAYS USE EARPHONES I HAVE AN ANCIENT SET FROM KMART AND A NEWER SET OF OPTIMUS PHONES I BOUGHT CHEAP AT RADIO SHACK, BOTH SETS HAVE VOLUME NOBS ON THE SIDES. FROM WHAT IVE BEEN TOLD EARPHONES NOT ONLY PROLONG THE DETECTORS BATTERY LIFE THEY ALSO MAKE IT BETTER FOR HEARING THE FAINT SIGNALS YOUR DETECTER MAY PICKUP AND MAKE THEM EASIER TO SEPERATE FROM A GOOD OR BAD SIGNAL.
