Bounty Hunter Big Bud Pro currently, previously White's and Garrett's

Hi,

I am new here and have a Bounty Hunter Big Bud Pro (analog) and live in a rural area of North Carolina.

I've been told the property I live on was #1-An Old Post Office #2- Had trials held here, and #3- Has had
a few relics and coins found here previously (by girlfriend).  Sounds like prime hunting ground to me!

My problem is there have been numerous "burn barrels" located at different locations (lot's of junk iron in
those areas)... as well as trash just thrown into areas (including metal).  I dug a new garden in about 1600
sq. foot area and got a bunch of rocks but also old drill bits, hoe heads, etc.  It seems junk was just tossed
and rusted where it landed.  I haven't checked it yet (just got the detector handed to me) but I am expecting
lot's of junk to contend with.

Now, using this "dated" detector can anyone suggest a "system" to search this property (5 acres) with this
particular detector (I know it's older, but sometimes that's a plus?).  I'm not new to the hobby.  I've used
other brands to search beaches, old properties, schools, etc.  Right now I don't want to buy a new unit...
jobs being scarce and all... maybe after a couple of big caches of coins or...
